Learning in the 21st Century
It is encouraging to see how 21st century learning is adapting to the times. Utilizing the available tools of social networking seems to be helping students in the learning process and to become more active contributors in a slew of different ways. One obvious way is their understanding of the technology and what it can do for them. Another is the opportunity to gain immediate feedback from their peers. Learners are also given the opportunity to research beyond their thoughts and explore the thoughts provided by their peers. By undergoing activities such as blogging, learners are discovering how to communicate with their peers effectively and are given the opportunity to strengthen and develop their leadership skills.
